The St. Louis affiliate was also named Top Office in the Northern Region, and received the Commercial Elite award for being a top 15 affiliate of over 400 offices in the country.
The rankings are based on closed adjusted gross commission income in 2007. In addition, Michael J. Wolken, SIOR, received the award for the top broker in the state and Jaimie Lance received the Property Manager of the Year award.

Construction is well underway for Safety National Casualty Corporation's new headquarters located in Maryland Heights. Safety National will occupy the new building in the fall of 2008.

Wolken, SIOR, of Coldwell Banker Commercial represented Safety National Casualty Corp. in the sale of a 15,368-square-foot office building at 2029 Woodland Parkway, Maryland Heights, MO 63146, to Pendentive Properties LLC, represented by John Sheahan Jr. of NAI DESCO.

Fehr Earns CCIM Designation


ST. LOUIS, May 18, 2007 – Noel T. Fehr, CCIM, a sales and leasing associate with Coldwell Banker Commercial CRA LLC, has earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation from the CCIM Institute. Fehr was awarded the designation May 3, 2007, in Indianapolis.

The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successful completion of a comprehensive exam, a graduate-level curriculum including financial and market analysis, and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying industry experience.

Fehr is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors, St. Louis Association of Realtors and Urban Land Institute Young Leaders Group. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.

Safety National Breaks Ground on New Headquarters
Coldwell Banker Commercial, city of Maryland Heights, other partners on hand to mark start of construction

ST. LOUIS, April 19, 2007 – Safety National Casualty Corp. broke ground yesterday on its new 138,000-square-foot corporate headquarters at 1832 Schuetz Road in Maryland Heights.

The $19 million facility will allow Safety National to consolidate employees from multiple locations. In addition, the site provides for future expansion of up to 300,000 square feet. The five-story building, including a lower level, will feature a fitness center, training rooms and a dining area.

“Due to our significant progress over the last decade, we have simply outgrown our existing corporate facility. We are pleased to see the start of our new corporate headquarters and to remain a good corporate citizen of Maryland Heights,” said Terrence Schoeninger, president and CEO of Safety National.

CRA Development LLC, a company of Coldwell Banker Commercial CRA LLC, is the development manager for the project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2008. “We are excited to be involved in the development of this facility for Safety National,” said Bruce Brophy, principal. “Over the past 12 years, we have provided leasing, property management and brokerage services to Safety National, so partnering with the company to develop a new corporate headquarters was a logical step.”

Brophy added that Safety National’s current facilities at 2029 and 2043 Woodland Parkway in Maryland Heights are available for purchase. Coldwell Banker Commercial will serve as the property manager for the new facility.

“Safety National’s commitment to stay in Maryland Heights is important for our city’s economic development efforts,” said Mike Moeller, mayor. “This development will revitalize a site that has sat idle for several years.”

Duke Realty Corp. is the general contractor, and ACI/Boland is the architect. Major subcontractors include Jarrell Contracting Co. Inc., Murphy Co. and Guarantee Electrical Co.

“Duke is excited to begin this design-build project for Safety National. Office projects of this nature have been rare in St. Louis over recent years, and we consider this one a signal of the area’s strengthening economy,” said Keith Cohen, Duke’s construction manager.
